Once I had recovered from Prom, it was time to get back out with my friends again!
I first got out on Friday night to go see a movie with my cousins, Jonaton and Jose, and brother, Jahir, then 2 other friends of theirs. We all went to go see the movie Aquaman. It was a pretty good movie! I enjoyed it quite a bit. Which I didn't expect, as we were planning on going to see a terror movie. Before we went to the movie, we had to go to the store first and buy some snacks to sneak into the movie theatre. It made the movie all the better.
I then got back out again on Saturday afternoon, and didn't return home until Monday afternoon for Christmas. I had a rather slow and relaxing morning, so I was really looking forward to going out again.
My first stop was the military village, where I went to my friend, Sebastian's house. I stayed there with him and my friends Frezia, Daniela, and Anie for the afternoon. We first played a very viscious game of Uno, that was followed by us just being goofy, hanging out, and dancing. This is Peru after all. We all walked around some before I had to leave.
I had to leave and head off to Miraflores and meet up with my friends, Claudia and Kate. We met up to go see a movie. Yes, I got to see 2 movies 2 days in a row. The movie that we saw was called The Same Life. At least that's what it translates to in English. It was an amazing movie and I 10/10 recommend it. It seems like a super long and cheesy romantic movie, but it actually has so many plot twists and keeps you engaged. We also had 2 giant buckets of popcorn, chocolate, chips, and Inka Cola to keep us occupied throughout the movie.
After seeing the movie, we went to McDonald's to for some ice cream- as if we hadn't eaten enough junk food. Most of the reason we went was because we had to use the bathroom and didn't want to have to walk all the way to Kate's house before we could use it.
I had a great time at McDonald's. While Claudia and I were talking, there was a group a really cute Peruvian boys that sat at the table next to us. She was listening to them, and apparently they were talking about Kate and I. They wanted to come talk to us but were too shy too because they didn't know if we knew Spanish or not, as we were talking in English with each other at the time. The one time I talk in English and don't eavesdrop on Peruvians... ugh. It wasn't until later that Claudia told Kate and I that. I was very sad that I missed out on the opportunity to tease some Peruvians, but it's ok.
We walked back to Kate's house, and visited there for a while. Talking, eating chocolate. All of the good things. After that, Claudia's parents came to pick us up and take us back to her house so I could spend the night. When we arrived there, Claudia and I stayed up to watch some more movies. Claudia and I literally spent the entire weekend at her house watching cheesy romance movies that made us cry.
The next morning, we woke up late-ish, and watched another movie. After that, I ate breakfast with her and her family. It was so nice being together with all of them and eating tasty food. We then spent the afternoon talking, and played outside with her brothers. After that, we all ate some pizza and watched another movie. And then Claudia and I continued to stay up way too late watched 2 more movies. What can I say, we like movies.
We once again woke up late-ish the next morning, and I joined her family for breakfast. We had a lovely meal together. Soon after, being that it was Christmas Eve, I had to go home. Her parents were able to drop me off at the bus station so I could get home.
It was certainly an eventful weekend that I was happy to have once I had recovered some.
