One Last Performance

The next weekend was Fantacular (5/11-13). It was incredible, and my last time performing for a very long time. The last day was an emotional day, as I said goodbye to all of my junior and senior friends and got through one last performance with them. At the end of the last performance, it took me a while and I was able to hold up, but finally I broke... and I cried. But that just goes to show how in love I am with what I get to do.

I had an incredible show choir season and spent such an amazing time doing what I love most- performing. I got to do through our competition show, and through a skit that I wrote! Not trying to toot my own horn anything, but my skit was quite a fan favorite from the audience... One of my goals (that I know I'll never get to) while I'm on my exchange is to write some more funny skits, or hopefully a whole show. I'm so passionate about it and won't have another opportunity to express myself on stage next year, so I figured a while back that could be the best way.

If there's anything I'm going to miss next year, it's performing and being on stage. Being able to walk into the choir room every morning for class and getting to start the day off right with my favorite people. And often ending the day with those same people at rehearsal. I share some unforgettable experiences and bonds with all of them and nothing compares to it. But now it's time to move forward and create those same relationships and experiences elsewhere!
