A long awaited day had come- plans with a PERUVIAN friend! After being in school for 2 and a half weeks, I was so excited to finally be hanging out with one of my Peruvian friends.
My friend Fernanda invited me over to her house to hang out and watch movies. It was on a Wednesday, but we didn't have school the next day because of a holiday.
After school, I walked home with her and our other friend, Alex, to her house that is very close by to the school. We also got out of school early, so that made things even better. Once we got to her house, the 2 of us just relaxed and hung out some, and I got to know her family.
We spent the evening watching movies, talking, and snacking. It was such a good time! We watched many horror movies, Mean Girls, and a movie called Six Years. I also went to nearby little street store with her and her mom so we could buy some popcorn and Inca Kola. I really got to experience a lot.
But before I knew it, it was time for me to go... My host parents ended up picking me up around 10, so I was there with them for quite a while, but not long enough. But it's only the first time of many!
