I thought I would dedicate a blog post to how much I LOVE mail.
It is my favorite thing in the entire world and nothing makes me excited quite like getting a letter in the mail. I've waited a while writing this post simply because I do want to reply to the mail I receive and send out my own letters. Now that I have finally started in doing that, I'm able to post this. I want everyone to know that I am receiving all of their mail and will hopefully be receiving a reply in the near future. But knowing how international mail work, it could take anywhere from 2 weeks to 2 months. There's really no way to know.
I have received many cards from many family and friends! And for that I am so very thankful. It excites me to see that I have received something every time. I keep everything that I get in the mail, and have accumulated a fairly stuffed envelope full of mail. I also have other "Open When..." letters from before I left, as well as many other notes and letters that were given to me.
Normally, how it works is that I will come home from school and find a card sitting on my desk in my room, waiting to be opened. And, of course, I open it right away. And I have the same amazing feeling every time.
There was one time that I was home when the mailman came to the house- and it's a good thing I was, because it was a package I had to sign. It was my long awaited package of flags from my Rotary club! I was very excited to receive those so I could finally give one to my host club.
The most lavish thing I have received filled with my heart with so much pure joy. The children's department at my church had made me some cookies, and they all made a little note. It meant so much to me- and the cookies were delicious! It did not take me very long to finish them.
Knowing someone cared about you enough to do such a thing is really the greatest feeling in the world, and reminds me of how much God has blessed with the people he has put in my life.
