Long-Awaited Sleepover

My friends Claudia, Kate and I had been trying to plan a sleepover for literally months. And the time finally came that we could have an epic sleepover at my house.

The came over on Friday night, and from there we went to the supermarket to get the sleepover necessities. Which is food. Drinks, ice cream, cookies, chips. Just healthy stuff. As well as pizza that we ordered later.

We spent the night in my room talking, watching movies, playing games, and just spending quality time together. It was so well needed. At that point, we were all having a rough time with things in life.

We watched all 3 movies from the Scary Movie series. Literally the funniest movies ever. And they're even more funny to watch with friends.

The next morning we had to be up early for the beach. We left reasonably early with my whole host family jammed in 2 different cars. While we were on our way there, my Grandma's funeral was going on, so I was able to watch that via videochat. That wasn't very fun, but I wasn't going to miss out on it. Just more reason that I needed a day at the beach.

Once we arrived at the beach we started with our festivities right away. And continued with them the whole day. This beach just happened to be a very rough and windy one, which just made it more fun to jump in the waves! Although I got caught under waves many times and really thought I was going to die. But then you just get back up and do it all over again.

Throughout that time we would get out to have snacks and play games. My host family are definitely the pros at finding games to play at the beach with lots of people, and it's always so fun.

At the end of it all, we ended up leaving because it was so windy. The water was a little dangerous to play in and it hurt to be our of the water because that meant sand was blowing all over you and sticking to your skin. It was not fun and I won't lie it put me in a grumpy mood because it hurt like a bunch of needles.

But it was all good, because then we went out to eat pollo a la braza, which was very tasty as it always is. We also walked around the town square some. We were in a small beach town north of Lima called Huara Huacho. It was very cute and just fun.

By the time we finally went home, it was late. But we were still able to have some time together before Kate and Claudia had to go home.

I'm so thankful that I have friends like them and that we were able to spend such quality time together. Such simple things but with the right people can change everything and make you forget anything that's going wrong.

Oh Fudge

Except I wasn't thinking fudge. In 24 hours I will be boarding a plane to go home. How will I pass these next 24 hours? The end is here....
