Before I leave, I figured it would be a good idea to learn some basic Hoosier things that I don't already know. Those 2 things were chess and euchre.
Jesse came over hoping to knock to birds out with one stone. I did learn how to play chess, but we had to save euchre for another night since all of our friends were busy and couldn't play with us. I picked up alright on chess. I know how to play, but I'm very much still a beginner. As for euchre, him and some of our friends (Harley, Cat, Austin and Tadd) came over to my house and we just played card games throughout the night. First we played some Egyptian Rat Screw, BS, and Kemps, and then progressed to learning how to play euchre. I'm still pretty rough around the edges and get confused sometimes, but I know how to play. And with a good partner, I'm pretty good at it.
Hopefully I'll be able to use my new Hoosier skills in Peru and teach them some fun games!
