On Sunday morning, Sarah left our home to head out to her new home in Arequipa. Running on very little sleep, we both got up around 7:30. I went back to sleep until about 8:30, then got up and got ready. I helped her get her things around some and just talked about how much I was going to miss her. I planned on going to the airport and sending her off, but I couldn't go because my host parents had to do something after dropping her off. After finding that out, I gave her one last hug and sent her off. After she left, I went back to sleep real quick!
Since she's been gone it definitely hasn't been the same around here, but at the same time it's like my real exchange has now started. No more American influence. But, I know I will see her again soon on all of the trips and other Rotary excursions.
