Now that summer is ending and winter coming, the good beach days are limited. To take advantage of the remaining nice days, I went to the beach and spent a beautiful Sunday with my host family.
The night before, I went to a party with my host cousins and Lukas (the other exchange student who lives with them now), so I stayed the night at their house afterwards because it was really late, we had to get up early in the morning for the beach, and I live really far away with my second host family.
The next morning, I was still a little tired after the night before, but I was ready to go to the beach! We first we out for breakfast at a nearby sandwich shop which was so good. And then we were on our way to the beach! We went to the really nice military beach called La Tiza. It's a beautiful and normally isn't too crowded because it's exclusively military.
I plopped my things on the beach, put on my sunscreen, and fell asleep under the sun. It was so great, the sun wasn't too strong and it wasn't too hot with the soft beach breeze. I was snoozing for a long time. Beach naps are definitely the best naps.
After some time, I finally went into the water. Another thing I love about the beach. It was such a perfect day for going to the beach too. Everything was great.
It wasn't too long before it was already time to go. By the time we left, there were only about two other groups of people there, and it had been like that for a while. We then headed back to their house. Then they had to take me home, which was another hour away, so en route we stopped to eat some Chinese food. It was tasty! I then went home and had to leave my first host family once again. Which was followed by the usual evening gossip with my host mom where I told her about my day. I had such a great time with them! It's little things like these that mean so much and carry such great memories.
